i. Market/goods
Market at the Gatuna Border (Rwanda side) is mainly trading in local commodities sourced within Rwanda. Target market in this border is mainly Local traders.
There are not much cross-border activities between Uganda and Rwanda at the border. This is attributed to stringent measures at the border by the government of Rwanda to curb spread of EBOLA.
There is a modern infrastructure for traders to carry out trade at the border. The market facility has raised stalls with space for storage of goods. Traders keep their merchandise in the market stalls at no cost

ii. Processes at the Gatuna border
• At the border crossing, traders are expected to produce National identification document to be cleared to cross the border. Currently small traders are not allowed to carry produced through the border area due to Ebola restrictions. Goods across the border are carried by vehicles and not individuals with small quantities
iii. Challenges
• There are high restrictions at the border mainly by Rwanda authorities towards managing EBOLA Spread. This have greatly affected cross-border trade.
