Market at the Katuna Border (Uganda side) is mainly trading in local commodities sourced within Uganda.
There are not much cross-border activities between Uganda and Rwanda at the border. This is attributed to stringent measures at the border by the government of Rwanda to curb spread of EBOLA.
Traders from Rwanda cross over to Uganda side to carry food produce in vehicles/trucks in large quantities, but small-scale traders are highly restricted.
